The Jewish Museum of Ferrara - Room II

In the second room there are objects on show in eight display-cases representing the celebration of eight different feasts.
At the sides of the room there are mainly silver objects on display; they are mainly Ataròth, Rimmonim and Tasim used to decorate the rolls of the Laws when they are deposited in Aròn. Of particular interest is a collection of Besamim, a liberty style lamp which is still lit in the Temple during the celebration of Hanukkà. On the left hand wall at the entrance to the room, the representation of the Sèder ( the Easter Supper ) stands out ; this is a work of graphic art using mixed technique by Emanuele Luzzati.
